The Role of Support Assistant with Us

As a support assistant, you help create a predictable, manageable, and comprehensible environment for our tenants. You work, with the support of method developers, to create conditions for participation and engagement based on the tenants' individual circumstances. You have a professional approach and experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum and with intellectual disabilities.

At Strannegården's group home, you become part of a growing team. As a support assistant, you contribute to safety and participation through a responsive and professional approach. Your work includes being a contact person as well as establishing and following up on implementation plans based on IBIC.

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. The length of shifts varies.

Your Profile

You are flexible in your work and maintain calm in stressful situations. As a person, you are curious about others and driven by development. You have a positive outlook and find it easy to work both individually and in a group. You express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who has:

education in the care and nursing program, child and leisure program, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
experience working with a similar target group
experience in documentation and writing as well as following up on implementation plans

It is an advantage if you have:

experience with AAC (alternative and augmentative communication)
experience with clear pedagogical methods

Our Offer and Additional Information

We offer a permanent full-time position (of which 10-20% is resource time) starting by agreement.

Within the administration for Individual & Family Care, all employees within Housing with Special Services and Support at Home are employed full-time but have the option to reduce to the desired employment rate based on the needs of the operation.
